PNGEC and IPPCC Launch Code of Conduct

On Monday 9th May 2022, the PNGEC and IPPCC launched the Code of Conduct for political parties, candidates, party scrutineers and supporters in Port Moresby. The Code of Conduct seeks to improve the integrity of the 2022 National Elections.

It sets out written guidelines to govern the conduct of political parties, candidates, party scrutineers and supporters during the nomination, campaign, polling, scrutiny, and after the elections.

A total of 39 out of 53 registered political parties signed the code of conduct at the launch.

The PNGEC encourages all political parties, candidates, party scrutineers and supporters to abide by the Code.
